Lismore folks sure do deserve a good one. They've done a great job of rebuilding the town (technically a city bc its got a cathedral) after the massive floods two years ago.

It's simply discarded plastic bottles with colour added. Very effective.
One year, old bicycles were recovered from the tip, painted and piled into a Christmas tee. The bikes now adorn the outside wall of a nearby building. Love the recycling around Lismore!

Every year, unpaid and in their down time, Lismore City Council workers raid the local tip and build a Christmas tree on this roundabout. Random people also use supermarket trolleys and make a tree.

My favourite was the colourfully painted discarded bicycles tree (those painted bikes now adorn a nearby building).
