03.05.2025 04:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Five stars for the vibes!!! β¨ This was adorable. And now I'm sad because the series is over! I really enjoyed the grumpy/sunshine trope here. I also enjoyed the drama in this one. I felt like the reason Colton and Gretchen struggled a bit in this was more relatable than previous books (not that I didn't love the others!) The family issues really created a depth to these characters. I loved the love between these two. And I'm always happy to see the previous book club guys. I wish Lyssa Kay Adams would write more of these books. I had so much fun with this series. If you're looking for something fun but doesn't take itself too seriously, this is definitely a series to check out (but definitely read them in order so you know the other characters!)

Another five stars for the vibes!!!! This is my favorite book of the series so far. I've loved Vlad since the first book, and I was SO excited to read his story. He was definitely comic relief for the first few books, but I love how deep his character was in this story. Swoon!! This was a wild ride. Elena irritated me in some points, but I did like the way her character developed too. This series doesn't take itself too seriously. It has such interesting commentary on marriage in our society. I really like Lyssa Kay's writing style, and I'm going to be sad when this series is over. I do wish Cheese Man would get a book π but I don't think he will. Haha. This isn't a literary masterpiece, but it is a five star read! π₯°

26.04.2025 16:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0DON'T LET THE COVER FOOL YOU!!! Pen Pal by J. T. Geissinger I... don't even know how to write this review. π€― I can't really say anything without spoiling it. Just know: it's a non-traditional HEA, but still super satisfying once you survive the insane ride this book takes you on. I honestly felt like I was being gaslit the entire time, and up until the reveal, I didn't trust a single one of these characters. π I knew something was up. I did guess one part of the twist... but the rest? Nowhere near what I was expecting. I absolutely loved this. I can't give it less than five stars because it had me literally on the edge of my seat, yelling at the book, jaw on the floor. Please make sure you read the trigger warnings just in case. Understand that non-traditional is the only way to describe this. This is not your typical dark romance. Go in as blind as you possibly can! (P.S. The nickname "Bunny" was... not it for me. But thatβs honestly my only complaint!)

25.04.2025 15:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ashley Poston cannot write a bad book. The Dead Romantics was funny, heart-wrenching, beautiful, and inspiring. I absolutely loved the plot. It completely pulled me in. I mustβve been so wrapped up in the story because I genuinely had no idea how it would end! Florence and Benji... swoon. I adored these two. I loved how they brought out the best in each other and held space for one another during some really difficult moments. This story had me laughing one minute and tearing up the next. I felt all the feels in the best way possible. Ashley Poston writes about such relatable topics in unique ways. Iβm obsessed with her style and canβt wait to read more from her. An easy 5 stars from me!

This trilogy was adorable! The first book was probably my favorite, but Iβve loved them all and Iβm honestly sad it's over. I could read about this little found family all day long! I was so excited that Margot finally got her story. Iβm a big fan of second-chance romances, though be warned, this one leans heavily on the miscommunication trope. It irritated me... but in a good way that worked for the story. The writing was solid, and I just adore these characters. Iβm so glad I found this series on Libby. Definitely recommend!

24.04.2025 00:39 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Another 5 stars for the vibes! I'm loving this series so much. Crazy Stupid Bromance giggle and tear up. I love how it stands alone, but I truly think the best experience comes from reading these books in order. Seeing characters from precious books is so much fun. Noah and Alexis have been through so much, and they go through even more in this story. I feel like this book was slightly more serious in tone, but of course, Beefcake stole the show and made me laugh when the tension got a little high. I love these books. I can't wait to read the next one!!

πππ What a beautiful book. I don't even know what to write. This has me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. Not because it was fast-paced, but because it was high stakes. Rebecca Ross created a cast of characters I cared so much about. Iris and Roman were amazing, of course, but I was so attached to everyone. This book took me through all the emotions. The devastation was real. I'm still a little heartbroken. But the hope that bloomed was inspiring. This duology was incredible. I'm so happy I read it! I am so sad it's over, though. I need more of these characters. π Highly recommended!!

Ruthless Vows - Rebecca Ross
βββββ
FIVE STARS FOR THE VIBES!! Okay, this had me cackling. Out loud. This was SO FUNNY. I think I like it even more than Bromance Book Club, and I didn't think that would be possible! The characters are so good. I love the "found family" vibes. Everyone had such unique personalities. I had so much fun getting to know them all more in this book. The plot was great! I loved the "banning together to fight injustice." And while the topic was serious (sexual harassment), the author weaved in the comedy I've come to expect from this series in the best moments, breaking up the tension. I can't wait to read more in this series. I'm having so much fun with this!

WHAT. First of all, Rebecca Ross writes fricken poetry. I was immediately drawn in by her absolutely beautiful prose. Wow. What an incredible writer. Beyond that, I loved the world-building. It felt like I was dropped right into the story, living alongside Iris and Roman. Iβm a sucker for books with writing themes, so the magic typewriters? Yes, please and thank you! The war was written so well. I could feel the devestation. I could feel the hope too. This book took me through all of the emotions. Iris and Roman might be two of my favorite characters ever. Neither of them made me angry (which I feel like is rare for me π), and they made such realistic choices. Their relationship was a joy to read. Now Iβm scrambling for the next book. I borrowed this one through Libby as an audiobook, but now Iβm stuck: Do I wait and suffer (because that ending was a cliffhanger!), grab the ebook, or just go buy the books? Infinity stars. Absolutely recommended.
I need to go read book two right this second. #booksky ππ
07.04.2025 19:04 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0At this point, Emily Henry just gets five stars for all her books. I can't imagine disliking any of them. This story isn't just a romance. It's focused a lot on family, and what we should and shouldn't sacrifice for the people we care about. Sometimes, it's okay to be selfish and put ourselves first. Nora was another character I could relate to. Building a wall around your heart and protecting yourself from getting hurt while making sure everyone around you is okay? Yeah. That's definitely something I do. I loved the build up with Charlie and how vulnerable he came to be. I loved Libby so much. She was probably my favorite character. I loved that all these characters were from NYC but this still turned out to be a small-town romance. I have nothing bad to say. Five stars all around.
Emily Henry writes no bad books in my eyes.

I read some amazing books this month. It was also a month of contemporary romance with bits of dark romance sprinkled in!
What was your favorite book this month?
#booksky ππ
Woah! I could leave that as my review. It sums up my feelings about this book. Honestly, it blew me away. The only reason it's not a full five stars is because I really wanted the epilogue to be a little longer. As far as I'm aware, this is a standalone, but it was left open enough for the story to continue. I just prefer stories to wrap up fully if they stand alone. Aside from that, this was a WILD ride. It was eerie. It's been a while since I read anything in the horror realm, and I loved how dark this got. I also loved the twists and turns. I did not see the twist coming, and the revelation had my jaw on the floor. I really liked the characters. Sydney made me angry with some of her decisions, but I feel that way with most books. Overall, this was a solid, believable cast of characters, and the author did an amazing job making it so you never really knew who to trust. An excellent read. I hope to read more from this author!

What a wild way to end March!

I'm so happy I found this series on Libby. It's SO CUTE. I think I liked book one slightly more than this one, but not by much. I wanted Brendon to find his love throughout the first book, and I was so excited to see he got his own book! I think this couple had so much chemistry. It definitely started as lust, but I feel like that's pretty realistic. This did push insta-love territory, but since they'd known each other when they were kids, it didn't feel as odd to me. I loved seeing all the returning cast: Elle, Darcy, and Margot. It was super fun to see where Elle and Darcy's relationship was while focusing on Brendon and Annie. These books make me want to visit Seattle more than I already wanted to! I loved how "part" of this story the city was. Overall, this was adorable, and I can't wait for book three!
Yeah, yeah... Cutesy romance was the theme of March for me, apparently π

29.03.2025 00:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wild Love by Elsie Silver book review Well, I didnβt know I loved the single dad trope until now! π Wild Love is my first Elsie Silver book, and honestly, the only reason I waited so long was that I didnβt think I was into contemporary romance. Turns out, I am. Rosie and Ford were adorable, but Cora stole the show for me. The father-daughter bond between Ford and Cora was beautiful, and I absolutely loved Coraβs fiery attitude. I also appreciated Fordβs approach to his financial status. Iβve read a few billionaire romances where wealth was their entire personality, but Ford felt like a regular guy who happened to be successful. Loved this book! π₯° Can't wait for the rest of this series!

The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa May Adams book review: This was SO CUTE! WHAT?! This is the first romance where I actively rooted for the male character because, while they both made mistakes, Thea made me so mad until she finally figured out what she was holding inside and not addressing. But I loved how much growth both Gavin and Thea displayed in this story. The side characters were also so fun, and I think that's why I loved this story so muchβthe characters had me laughing and yelling at the book! The concept of this book was so fun. I love the idea of men reading romance novels, predominantly written by women, to understand women a little bit more. Such a fun concept. And the chapters from Counting the Countess made me so happy. π This is five stars because I had such a good time reading it, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series!
π I had so much fun reading this!
