Something tells me they’ll be fine with everyone on that list apart from Tessa and Mo. Can’t think why though πŸ€”

How big do you think the Gorton and Denton resident student population is?

26.02.2026 21:11 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Nope. The working assumption is that young men who don’t normally vote have been lured out by Reform,

I thought the U.S used to ban people with criminal convictions? Is there a fascist exemption nowadays?

26.02.2026 07:38 β€” πŸ‘ 62    πŸ” 3    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah we abolished that in 1965 for virtually all offences and for everything (including Regicide) in 1998

Although the England and Wales Sentencing Council has guidelines for all sentencing, including common law offences so it’s not a complete judicial free for all

Do you like the maximum sentence available as life imprisonment?

There is nothing especially novel in incentivising particular relationship/family models via the tax system. However, in the hands of Reform 2025 Ltd it’s no more than another culture war wedge issue to inflict on the country for perceived electoral advantage.

No that will come on *another* day

Thomas and Alito dissenting you say? Shocked, I tell you!

Thomas and Alito shitting the bed once again

Just awful. But weirdly there are some trans rights proponents here in the U.K. who regard the likes of Trump (and our would-be Trump, Farage,) as just the same or even better for transgender than a Labour government 🀯

I work in Chester. The people there would be horrified by that suggestion. Most of them speak with Merseyside accents

If you think Chester, Luton and Wales are β€˜the Midlands’ you’re out of your gourd

In an ideal world, this would happen. Unfortunately, we live in a world of demonstrable historic legal aid fraud and weekly, multiple, dishonesty findings against individual lawyers. Sad state of affairs but we’ve been our own worst enemy

Well the last time she was pictured shaking hands with an elderly leader, the Queen was dead within 48 hours of the handshake 🀞

I’m sure a Reform government will be very supportive of minority groups. Definitely their brand. You’re like the pro-Palestinian segment of the US electorate who couldn’t bring themselves to vote for Kamala so instead ended up with Trump. So good luck chasing your unicorns of perfection

A factual statement? Your opinion that Labour are as bad as a could be Reform government is not a factual statement. It’s a bonkers opinion.

Anything on banning individual donations from non-doms? Seems to be an oversight otherwise

One of the many commentators on political life in that era who have twisted themselves in knots trying to navigate through the madness of the Tory years
