If you want oncology rehab to be taken seriously…you need the research to back it up.

Too often, our profession knows what works—but without the data, it’s harder to get the referrals, the funding, and the recognition our patients deserve ⬇️

📝 Write everything down. Don’t overthink it.

That gave her clarity.
She didn’t need the most complex patient — she needed the right one that told a clear story about her clinical reasoning and growth.

That’s what we help you do in Case Report Writing Workshop ⬇️

You don’t need the “perfect” case. You need the right one.

When Theresa Walchner started her oncology case report, she felt stuck. Which patient would make the best case? Was there a “perfect” one?

Inside the Case Report Writing Workshop, she used a simple brainstorming exercise:

That’s the real power of the ABPTS case report requirement
Not just to prove what you know… but to discover what you didn’t know (yet)

After 22 years in practice, Theresa’s case report reminded her that great clinicians never stop learning — and reflecting on patient care is part of that journey.

That realization didn’t make her doubt her skills
It made her sharper. More thoughtful. More prepared to catch these patterns in future patients.

“It’s your clinical expertise — but also what can you learn and how can you grow from these patients?” Theresa told me.

BUT when she reflected deeper for her case report, she noticed things she hadn’t before:
→ The patient’s persistent fatigue (from cancer treatment & other comorbidities)
→ How that fatigue impacted her return to work
→ How her posture & mechanics at work could influence AWS itself

Her patient had axillary web syndrome after breast cancer treatment, which Theresa treated with various interventions…nbd, right?

Well, not quite ⬇️

What if writing your oncology case report could actually make you a better clinician — not just a board-certified one?

Theresa Walchner, PT, recently became a board-certified oncology specialist. In a conversation on TheOncoPT Podcast, she shared something that stopped me in my tracks:
