Thinking of building a drone using a Raspberry Pi Pico - any advice or thoughts?
29.07.2025 16:14 — 👍 18 🔁 2 💬 3 📌 0A NAS shouldn't need too much processing power tbh, just lots of IO. Pi 5 is faster and more capable at IO that the 4, but it depends what the NAS is for - I have 2 NAS's at the moment, a primary one for my video files and a secondary one for backup.

I’d probably use a pi 5 as it has two camera connectors or use a usb webcam (they are dirt cheap)

Build day 4, finishing up the Arcade builds. These buttons and joystick connect to a @RaspberryPi Pico running #circuitpython to act as a usb gamepad.

03.07.2025 07:05 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The artwork is printed on a HP inkjet printer using print on Vinyl, and then the outline is cut on the Cricut. The Cricut software controls the printing and then cutting to ensure a neat output.

Work in progress - waiting for some speakers to arrive and a fresh set of SD cards. The Cricut helped with the cabinet Art stickers I created, these look soo good!

Progress! Gone through a couple of iterations (ie failures!) but almost there. Ordered some spade connectors for the micro switches as the soldering has come loose twice.
