This is a lie. We all saw the video. The Senator clearly identified himself, and he did not "lunge" toward anyone.

If these miserable propagandists will lie to you about roughing up a U.S. Senator in a room full of reporters, what won't they lie to you about?

Given the news about Harvard and maybe more coming: my university (Queen's, Canada) has some spots/funding for students accepted to US institutions who need a new spot. If you know of students in that situation they can reach out or check here: www.queensu.ca/grad-postdoc...

This is a picture of text from the Harvard Crimson. It reads: We have to wonder: How does sending Jewish students from abroad home β€” including Israelis β€” root out antisemitism? How does expelling young adults from other countries fight racism? What could be more anti-American than banishing potential immigrants who have come to our country to learn and contribute to our society?

U of T has approved my tenure and my appointment to associate professor. I could not have done this without my lab, its past and current members. I'm grateful to my mentors and to the scientists whose work has and continues to inspire me. I'm excited to continue doing the work I love.

A lot of students are not sure what career they want to pursue. To help with this, we've started recording videos with lab alumni in different careers and grad programs. Links below. Hope your students find them helpful! #STEM #ADVISING

Poilievre losing his seat is almost Shakespearean: Pretender to the throne riles countrymen with anger, gets defeated by guy with Joy in his name. It’s basically Macbeth.

don't write for those journals
don't review for those journals
don't edit for those journals

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

Dear Developmental Colleagues,
I’m a developmental psychologist, Associate Professor (Teaching), and Undergraduate Program Director for the Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary. I specialize in social emotional learning, peer relationships, and children’s media.
On March 25th, a developmental psychology graduate student at Tufts University in Massachusetts was abducted by the United States government. Rumeysa Ozturk is a PhD student in Child Study & Human Development with a focus on prosocial development and children’s media. She is from Turkey and was studying in the USA on a student visa. Her visa was revoked when she participated in political letter writing asking Tufts University to acknowledge the Palestinian genocide. This political activity made her a target.
No peaceful political activity should ever lead to unlawful detainment. The Palestinian-Israel conflict is heartbreaking. My spouse and child are Jewish, we lost an Israeli family member on October 7th, 2022. I’ve seen increases in anti-semitism on university campuses in the past two years, but I know and I acknowledge that the majority of protestors are not hateful, and they want peace and human rights.
Rumeysa Ozturk is one of us. Therefore, I am calling on leaders in Developmental Psychology to stand up for Ozturk, to pressure academic societies such as SRCD, SRA, & ISSBD to release a statement regarding her unjust abduction. We need to shine a spotlight and put international pressure on this abduction to help ensure her safety and release. Please also consider writing your political representatives. Ozturk has been relocated from Massachusetts to Louisiana. Her lawyer has lost contact with her in the past day. Our efforts can make a difference during these critical days.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Hughes, PhD
Associate Professor (Teaching)
