sketch-like digital painting made in heavypaint with lasso brush. it depicts the korok forest in mostly brown and yellow colours, highly inspired by how it looks in tloz botw. there are some korok shadows, the glowing pea plants pods decorations, glowing fireflies and a lot of greenery. thereβs the master sword on its pedestal in the middle of the picture, also glowing, and link himself standing close to it, like he didnβt expect to stumble upon it.

Rost and a young Aloy standing together. Aloy has a fresh wound on her forehead from the rock Bast throws at her, blood running down her face and dripping off her chin. Her expression is silent rage at the repeated injustices inflicted upon her due to being "motherless". She has her fist clenched, blood and squashed berries dripping off and onto the ground, where her blood causes fresh grass to grow. In fact, the green grass has grown on her trail, a green footprint not far behind her, expressing her role in giving new life to Earth. Rost stands behind her, sad and sullen at Aloy's state. He reaches out to her, but his hand is hesitant to actually touch her. In his other hand, he holds the necklace that originally belonged to his own daughter. A tree behind both of them is showing all stages leaves go through the year, with the withered, fiery orange stages of autumn around Rost. White branches emerge from his back, vaguely resembling an open ribcage. There's blood on the branches. The background is the mountain range with a newly risen sun, the very same that Rost spoke Aloy's name to.

Happy anniversary of the Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster!
After the piece focusing on Aloy's relationship to Elisabet, I thought it only fitting to give Rost the stage this time.
