only reason i’m not on it rn is bc i had one major side effect that goes away for most people but didn’t for me. when i was more stable, i stopped taking it, and my psych is totally cool with me taking it “as needed” rather than daily. ime a good doc is crucial

you dont have to earn meds, the same way you don’t have to earn tylenol for a bad headache. zoloft works best for me like emergency crutches — i take it when i need it, and it helps SO MUCH. it gives my brain space to actually function. not having a constant depressive background noise helped a ton
