Even watching experts play a perfect run through CD's levels, they don't have that same fluidity that 3K and especially 2 have, because the level design fights that direction so much more.

Still, it introduced us to Amy, Metal, Ogata AND Hataya, and that's the dream four horsemen right there.

Because Sonic is so much faster than most platformers, I find it's 2D games to be the ones that can throw a player off if they don't get behind the 8 ball, and CD's huge and hazard-littered levels are the most punishing in that regard.

Best soundtrack in the 35 years of the franchise tho.

(Also I know a lot of art programs don't have the speedpaint recording built in but OBS can do the same job without costing noticeable performance and needing to speed the video up manually. Works for me and SAI2)

Streaming art is also a lot of fun, especially if you get the opportunity to co-stream with other artists and learn from each other.

Full timelapses are also viable, and seeing the speedpaint on playback is super rewarding, watching the art grow into a finished piece.
