Work will begin Wednesday, February 25, at 11:00 p.m. and is expected to conclude by 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26. During this time, motorists may experience minor delays and are encouraged to plan alternate routes when possible.

City of Bloomington Utilities (CBU) has scheduled repairs to address a leaking water valve at the intersection of West Bloomfield Road and Rolling Ridge Way. A temporary lane restriction will be in place while crews complete the project.

CBU crews will work to maintain access for local residents whenever possible. If a BWA is required, all affected residents will be notified via text message.

Work will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, and is expected to conclude by 3:00 p.m. During this time, South Highland Avenue between East Second Street and East University Street will be closed to through traffic. Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes.

The thaw is here, let’s make sure the water has somewhere to go. A few small actions can help prevent puddling, flooding, and refreezing:
- Clear snow and ice from nearby storm drains
- Move snow away from building foundations
- Keep gutters, downspouts, and sidewalks draining properly

There are no Snow Day’s for our Transmission and Distribution crews. They recently completed a water main repair on Joy Street despite the extreme conditions, and without the need for a Boil Water Advisory.

🔹 Know your main shut-off: If a pipe bursts, shutting off your water quickly can help minimize damage.

If you are already experiencing issues, please be patient while crews work through weather-related delays.

🔹 Open cabinet doors: Allow warm air to circulate around plumbing near exterior walls.
