This week, Gov Newsom and legislative leaders announced over $140 million in state funding to support Planned Parenthood health centers throughout California, to help keep health centers open and provide services after the full federal "defunding" under HR 1 earlier this year.

Health care should be accessible, affordable, and available for all.

Check your mailbox! 📬 Ballots for the November 4th Special Election are on the way. Watch out for yours in the mail this week and be sure to vote by Tuesday, November 4th.

While we pursue every avenue to protect our patients, our doors will stay open. We will continue to see patients at all locations, for all services, regardless of their insurance provider.

Make no mistake, this is devastating. Patients will suffer. Cancers will go undetected, STIs will go untreated, birth control will be harder than ever to get, and the public health infrastructure of some of the most vulnerable communities will break down.

Congress has passed their destructive bill, and the President has signed it. This bill removes Planned Parenthood from Medicaid programs, effectively "defunding" Planned Parenthood, and goes into effect immediately.

Let’s get one thing straight: Planned Parenthood isn’t unpopular and neither is the care that health centers across the country provide.

No matter what some lawmakers say, nearly two-thirds of Americans support Planned Parenthood — not this administration's attacks on affordable care.
