We're having to move distributors by the end of March.

Don't ask, but corporates being corporate.

It is going to cost a bit and a half.

If you are able to help cushion the blow.

You can buy some excellent books here:

www.bluemoosebooks.com

Thank you.

When your brain just doesn't have the juice to write, edit instead.
Because editing is writing.
Still a win 🙌

‘A computer’s joke, on us’: writers respond to the short story written by AI Sam Altman, the OpenAI boss, has declared its new model ‘good at creative writing’. We asked writers including Tracy Chevalier, Kamila Shamsie and David Baddiel if they agree

#writers For the same reason I prefer a home-cooked meal to a factory made frozen meal prepared by a microwave, I am always going to choose to read a book by Barbara Kingsolver or Anne Tyler, or any human novelist, rather than one manufactured by AI, no matter how well it imitates a human writer.

‘AI will become very good at manipulating emotions’: Kazuo Ishiguro on the future of fiction and truth On the 20th anniversary of Never Let Me Go, the Nobel prize-winning novelist talks about the role of the author in a post-truth world – and why he’s ‘not a great writer of prose’

Good piece about Kazuo Ishiguro this morning in The Guardian.

On writing sci fi as a literary novelist: “I was following something more internal. I wasn’t angling for someone to shout ‘Judas’.” 📚💙🖋️ #writingncommunity

I've just discovered Plottr - it looks just the ticket for planning out my next novel. New territory for me; I've always been primarily a pantser rather than a plotter…

Do you use Plottr, and if so, what is your opinion of it?

Before any plants were taller than three feet, and before any animal with a backbone had made it out of the water, the earth was dotted with two-story-tall, silo-like fungi.

Currently knee-deep in the second read-through and line edits of my sequel, and I just realized... I’ve been calling one of my characters the wrong name this entire time. Even in my crossover short stories! 😲🤯

Fellow #writers, please tell me I’m not alone in this disaster?
