โ€˜The hard right hates London โ€“ it proves their politics wrongโ€™ | The News Agents Right-wing politicians and activists will tell you London is a dangerous place, overrun with crime and migrants, and is slowly collapsing. This isnโ€™t true. So why the lies and anger directed at theโ€ฆ

โ€œWe are presented with the idea of a dystopian hell, as if London is a terrible city."

Lots of Barcelona match squads will include Toni Fernรกndez and Guillermo Fernรกndez this season. The two teenagers are cousins, born less than a month apart. The really weird thing is that not only are the players two fathers brothers, but their two mothers are sisters too.

The man who should have been Englandโ€™s first black footballer โ€“ immortalised at last Jack Leslie was black. He was called up by England in 1925. Then he was deselected. His legacy, however, has now been commemorated...

This is Jack Leslieโ€™s story - an important tale

In 2022, Leslie was immortalised with a statue at Home Park and, in 2023, his family received an honorary England cap from the FA at Wembley ahead of Englandโ€™s game against Ukraine.

Historic England have today unveiled a blue plaque at the home of Jack Leslie - the first Black captain of a Football League club (Plymouth Argyle). Leslie was due to be Englandโ€™s first black player when he was called up in 1925, but was deselected due to his race.

I love a new kit as much as anyone but are yearly releases tone-deaf in this economic climate?

Increased prices of tickets
Increased prices of TV subscriptions
Increased prices of kits/merch

So, United vs Spurs in the Europa League final. Spurs the favourites, IMO, having beaten United 3x already this season with an 8-3 aggregate. And all the pressure on them to win after the managerโ€™s #SecondSeason boasts.

The Taliban ruined the dreams of female Afghan footballers. In exile, their struggle to play continues Female soccer players fled Afghanistan, but from around the world they are campaigning to be able to represent their country again

Afghanistan's women's football team is not recognised by football's authorities. Their players live in exile. The Taliban ruined their dreams, but hasn't broken their spirit.

Their struggle to play together again continues.

Club had a chance to sell him in Jan and they refused. So not TAA's fault that LFC not getting a fee.

What dance did he spin? He just got on business as usual as far as I can see
