Miron Muslic interview: Schalke coach on taking a sleeping giant top, not wanting possession and why football is a vampire! Miron Muslic says football is a vampire draining his energy but there is no sign of that with his Schalke side top of the table. Went to interview Miron Muslic in Gelsenkirchen and easy to see why the ex-Plymouth boss has taken Schalke to the top of the table. Lot of charisma.

โ€œFootball is a vampire.โ€
โ€œPressure is a privilege.โ€
โ€œWe donโ€™t want possession.โ€

Really liked doing this one.

The Brahim Diaz penalty was so bad I thought I was an act of fair play.

Thomas Frank under pressure, understandably. But Spurs were poor last season under Ange. So what are the common denominators?

Liverpool. Half a billion pounds spentโ€ฆ to draw with Burnley at home. Thatโ€™s really poor.

Scholes and Butt owe this man a big apology. I hope itโ€™s clipped up and shared widely.

Another winter spending spree for Manchester City then...

A few bad results? Just go and buy the best winger in the league and an England centre back

10-1: MCFC can do this to anyone. 8-0 Salford, 5-0 Huddersfield, 6,-0 Burnley, 7-0 Rotherham, 6-0 Watford (Final). All could easily be double figures. When you look at the disparity in finance, experience and quality, they probs should be doing this more oftenโ€ฆ

Lots of Barcelona match squads will include Toni Fernรกndez and Guillermo Fernรกndez this season. The two teenagers are cousins, born less than a month apart. The really weird thing is that not only are the players two fathers brothers, but their two mothers are sisters too.

Historic England have today unveiled a blue plaque at the home of Jack Leslie - the first Black captain of a Football League club (Plymouth Argyle). Leslie was due to be Englandโ€™s first black player when he was called up in 1925, but was deselected due to his race.

I love a new kit as much as anyone but are yearly releases tone-deaf in this economic climate?

Increased prices of tickets
Increased prices of TV subscriptions
Increased prices of kits/merch
