I began using it for research my lab was conducting on abalone and seaweed (began with 2D-gels 😅) and in order for me to better understand what we we're doing, I taught a senior undergad course on the subject!

This is a great idea. There's so much focus lately on big data proteomics and the large scale ways of doing QC -- bar charts of detections, violin plots of %CV -- that the ability to look at individual spectra and chromatograms for quality is becoming a bit of a lost art.
