You have got to be willing to draw a line SOMEWHERE to protect people/understand that some of these things *are* in fact a reflection of how people treat or view certain groups and if you won't then don't have the audacity to act shocked when it keeps happening over and over.

I am very much pro-"Not everything fucked up/taboo/dicey/uncomfortable that's shown or explored via fiction or art is a reflection on someone's irl values" but implying that there is some sort of value neutrality to *everything* as long as it's Not Real is exactly how you get stupid shit like that.
