Summer Camps
DEC camps combine environmental education, hunter education programs, and outdoor recreation into a fun adventure. We use a hands-on approach to teach about the environment.
The NYSDEC has announced its youth summer camp program for the 2025 season. It's a great way to plant the seeds of love for nature and care for public lands through hands on experience. As the planet warms, protecting our forests will become even more important for our survival.

Seventeen very rugged people (and one rugged dog) hiked Bramley yesterday for the brief first opening of the tower - some from as far away as Lake George, Utica and Warwick and from as close by as Andes, Bovina, Bloomville, Delhi and Roxbury. Many thanks to the Clark family who donated the tower!

One of our most important goals is conservation. California is burning. Antarctica's glaciers are melting. What will happen to the Catskills? How many species will disappear from our forests? Global heating must not be a political issue. It's a matter of survival.
