Baby isn't very clear because they wanted to be shy during the ultrasound so another scan has been booked for two weeks time 😊

Had my first scan and saw my little one for the first time, seeing them move was amazing and felt surreal even if they kept hiding from the scan XD

I suppose this is when I can officially announce that I am having a baby ☺️

Also amusingly people go on about always making slip stitches too tight and here's me with loose stitches and unable to figure out how to make them tighter 🤣

Moar progress - Ive no idea why my round finishes in the middle of a side rather then a corner but hey ho it doesn't appear to be making much of a difference

2hrs progress - it's coming along faster then I thought 😁

I'm still not the best at slip stitches, they end up being a tad loose but generally happy with how it's turning out :3

Aaaand blanket time 👀

Decided to keep it simple, as my fiance reminded me that I can create as many blankets as I like and the first one doesn't need to be complicated or a masterpiece :3

So we gonna do a giant granny square blanket instead

I fucked this up massively by misunderstanding the pattern instructions but it's still turning out pretty so I'm gonna continue until it's done

And then I'll re-attempt following the pattern 🤣

Someone on Facebook gave me a tip for how to crochet in the round without crocheting a magic circle and look it! I did it!

I've not worked out how to close the hole using this method but look this is a huge jump and I'm stupidly proud of myself

Realising the pattern for the blanket requires 305 stitches across and I'm wondering how I chain that many without losing my mind
