I served in Afghanistan and I’ve seen who pays the price when Washington rushes into conflict.

I actually am unhinged enough to think it’s not out of the realm of possibility that he launches a war to distract from Epstein files and have a reason to declare a national emergency to suspend voting. It’s not as if lost lives matter to him.

if you believe in any form of free enterprise at all, the idea that the Pentagon can not only cut off your contract but designate you a supply chain risk and prevent other companies from buying from you just because you won't build killbots for the government should be terrifying

I'm begging my fellow politicians, Illinoisans, and Americans to realize that right now, we aren't fighting over policy or political party.

We're fighting over whether we're going to be a country rooted in empathy and kindness — or one rooted in cruelty and rage.

Today November seems a long way out, but it’s coming fast. Let’s keep our heads on a swivel:
1) ICE is still doing monstrous things
2) Trump is doing everything he can to suppress voter turnout
3) Trump is doing anything to distract from the Epstein files

Let’s stay involved and fight back.

The New York Times reports that the Department of Homeland Security has sent Google, Meta, and other media corporations subpoenas for the names on accounts that criticize ICE enforcement. The department wants to identify Americans who oppose what it’s doing. I’ll save them time.

In a democracy, we are supposed to feel like we have control over our lives because the people control the government.

But in the U.S., people feel like our lives are out of control because the people don’t control the federal government.

I hope that the Democratic Party and independents are ready for the level of vigilance this election will require in order to be fair. Trump and MAGA fear retribution for their crimes and will do anything to stay in power to avoid it
