I'm keeping the decks that I really love, and the cards that have sentimental value (and the cool printings), but everything else has been traded in at the LGS for credit. I'll keep retooling and tinkering (maybe build 1-2 more decks) and keep up, but just strictly casual

It all just feels.... soulless now, and I just haven't been having fun the same way that I had in the past. I wish there was something that could rekindle that feeling, but with the way everything is going now, I am just going to step back

When you print cards with third-party IP on it, it can lead to a whole lot of headache and contractual obligations, as we are seeing with the release schedule this year and the Through the Omenpaths thing

I've been thinking a lot about my relationship with Magic: the Gathering recently. I have a lot to thank it for, and I genuinely love the game. But everything that as been going on recently with WotC and UB, I just don't see how the future of the game is sustainable

Overall feelings: I absolutely adore Kayo, but the meta feels hostile to brutes at the moment. This was my first PQ (bad nerves) and the first time I played this version of the deck, so prep wasn't as good as it could be

I was originally prepping Azalea, but my version felt inconsistent

Top 8 vs OTK Florian (different than R4) ❌: Drew 1 BRB off Wild Ride, arsenaled it, and then drew 2 more at draw step. Basically lost on the spot. We had good pressure in early turns with Cast Bones for 5-6 each time, but they also had good defensive tools. Lost the race in the end.

R5 vs Marionette ❌: Opp told me that the Uzuri version of this deck countered Kayo during Hitters meta, only game I felt hopeless
