It is amazing that they seem to have an orbit and poignant episodes tend to fall on the same day. It's like celestial events. Someday all five will lineup to start on the same day.

I grew up in the south hearing people say "the south will rise again". I always thought it was just an old saying, but it turns out they were serious.

There are still local DJs that were in the scene during the Starck era, have you talked to any of them? A lot of music played in all of the clubs in the Dallas scene was influenced by Starck, and DJs were keenly aware of what each other was playing.

It's been 45 years since Starck closed and people with firsthand accounts are becoming fewer and fewer.

I'm just wondering if your information is from firsthand accounts of people that were there, or from published sources such as Billboard charts (I know Rick was a billboard reporter and I think Mike was too but I'm not sure).

What are your sources for songs played at Starck and their popularity? Is it from personal experience, recorded mixtapes from the day? Or are you referencing track list from publications of the time?
I have noticed that you have omitted some of the most noted tracks that the Starck was known for.

Since the election I have completely boycotted anything from Meta as well as companies like Amazon.

I miss keeping up with friends, but I certainly don't miss the cesspool of Facebook in general.

At least there are no Nazis on blue sky. It helps with social media withdrawal

It looks like the "DJ booth "has wheels on it so it can roll out.

I agree on the Klipsch. I would myself stick with pro audio even for critical listening. Something from Fulcrum Acoustic, L Acoustic etc.

When you're playing vinyl you can do with a large SUV and an hour long load in what other people can do with a thumb drive.

It's the expense and inconvenience that makes it fun
