the WHOLE POINT of this product, the reason why he bought it, is to see the charging coils inside. and in doing that, they also show you that it doesnt extend to the edges. so im just wildly confused on why he expected it to be "Apple's Scrapped Concept That Didn't Work" instead of, A Charging Pad

apple, i would Assume, give up on the idea because they couldnt figure out how to properly make the Entire Surface of the pad charge your phone. so he expected this random product to be like apple's magic FAILED idea of the product that obviously wasnt made for a reason, instead of what it is

given the context of the video, the reason why he expects it to be able to charge anywhere is bc- he explicitly brings up this scrapped apple product idea called the "Air Pad", which was literally just this concept. a wireless charging pad that can charge several products at once
