A guy on local NPR said that people who voted for Nida Allam were voting on issues rather than candidates because they voted against the fact that Val Foushee was funded by AI and Israel money. He meant it in a negative way, I think, but that just seems like voting to me. "Issues? How gauche."

As a self-publishing humor cartoonist I get it! I feel genuinely lucky that I didn't start making comics consistently until I was in my 40s, after owning a comic shop, where I got a handle on how busted things are in the industry. I think based on this, you're now clearly on the right path for you!

There's a congressional primary I'd like to see go to the challenger, so I allowed myself to think there's a possibility that this seeming progressive wave will extend even into centrist ass North Carolina.

Who else out here feeling like they're a sucker for voting but taking a Democrat ballot because there's a vague possibility to "push em left" in one of the primaries even though at this point in your life you believe any aspiration for public office is the clearest sign of untrustworthiness there is

Tina helps Ellie up from the ground and Ellie asks about her hair, which confounds Tina since Ellie was almost just shot by Mike, the CEO of the corporation where their husbands work. Ellie's hair gradually turns white over the course of the page due to the fact that the exorcism spell she was trying to cast was interrupted (by the aforementioned near shooting). She's worried about whether it makes her look old or hot, and The Dark Lord, a giant floating skull, says, "Oh, definitely hot."

and if you're curious about Ellie's hair, it's Demon-related (That's Tina in the superhero suit as The Ribbon Cutter). From Meeting Comics #19.

I had no idea those characters would become major characters, detectives, would have an affair, would divorce their husbands and become a couple, or any of that! They showed up in the comic because I realized Thomas and Kevin had lives outside work and I started wondering about that.
