I’m going to choose a spinning project for it and report back.

I have this Gooney I’m currently plying with which weighs 22g. I haven’t weighed it to see how much I’ve put in it yet. I also have a Swan that’s 42g—I’ve managed to put 24g of singles onto the Swan and it’s starting to get harder to work with.

4 oz would be great! I don’t have a Dragonfly yet but it’s definitely on my wishlist.

I love my support spindles because I’ve always preferred a woolen drafting style, but I’m currently enjoying the extra eye candy I get from spinning on my Turkish spindles. Wrapping singles on them is so satisfying and now I’m plying on one too.

Absolute chaos because who knows what’s in that 20%? Cotton? Polyester? Pet hair? All of the above 😂

Thank you! I made it from a painted braid from deep stash that wasn’t inspiring me anymore. I’m happier with this result.

I’m finding it challenging to spin my bfl/silk rolags for the same reason! It’s not drafting as easily as I would’ve thought for a woolen prep.

I’m spinning a set of gradient rolags I prepped last year. I’m dividing them onto 2 spindles and hoping the colors line up as a 2-ply yarn. It’s a small amount, as this was an experiment, so not sure what I’ll make with it yet.

Thank you! I love how Laurie’s spindles feel in my hands so far and the convenience of switching to another shaft when I’ve filled the current one.

I’m currently doing several spindle challenges and one of them is spinning at least 15 minutes a day for 60 days. Today is day 15. Wrapping on Turkish spindles is so satisfying.

This is also my first time spinning a merino/silk/flax blend.
