I think trust is hard in these kinds of apps, and who wants to fight with a rando - but breaking it and having local orgs have the tools is more important than ownership. PWA helps in this case..

I was just turned on to your article by @stefsull.bsky.social . I made #DEICER - and got shut down by apple.. but it was a PWA first .. so then they did I just pivoted and started to make local clones. Hoping that works..

Yesterday DOJ reached out to Apple and took down DEICER as well as other ICE apps. While disheartened at Apples capitulation, Here's how you can install the app on your phone -without- the app store. It's up to us to protect our rights. #DEICER cc @stevebenen.com @briantylercohen.bsky.social

I appreciate that. Right now I think that the Northstar is that persistence and not to get back down in the futility of it. I recognized that what I’m asking for of folks is a big swing. I just have to keep my eye on the ball and just make surethat I’m ready if needed.

I think where we are today requires a concerted movement to try to help push back and it’s saddening to see so many big organizations that are Latino based not picking up the mantle. I just want to show we can do something…. Hope that helps.

I think if something bad is gonna happen to me, it’s gonna happen to me regardless. I’d rather keep focusing on trying to educate and hope for the best. The goal here is to get @maddow.msnbc.com @stevebenen.com attention.
