Did a bit of work this morning on Hike Maker. Finally got it working to allow you to move the end of an a to b route to a nearby point of interest. In this example I move the end point to the nearest cafe

I can see people are regularly completing walks with Hike Maker which is great. I've hardly been out in the last couple of weeks as too warm, so took it for a spin today in the cooler weather. It thinks I've done no previous walks as when I do pre-release testing I clear the data down, honest 😀

I'm pretty happy with this new feature. In this example, I create a walk around Paris 🇫🇷 (in the springtime ❤️).
I plan to stop half way on my journey for un café ☕️ So I choose my favourite haunt from ones nearby and it adjusts the route accordingly📍

My first in-app event appeared on the App Store today. I need to see if it makes any difference to the stats but at least I have the mechanism in place in the app now for future events 👍

This evenings coding efforts 👨‍💻 Now that I have the event linking ok, I've now added the extra functionality to introduce any in-app event or new feature I come up with. Just some small tweaks needed to formatting. This was so easy to do in SwiftUI 👍

It took me a while to work out 🧠, but finally got in app events being handled ok. So I have a universal link (here in notes) which when tapped launches the app, which understands the link and displays details of the matching event (in this case a test screen in the app).

Another requested feature ticked off ✔️ It took me a while to realise I hadn't done a setting right in the developer portal 😜 so it wasn't getting the data from Weatherkit.
You can now check the forecast for wherever you are planning a walk 🚶

Finally got weather and altitude added to the log entries, so when you enter something it records them both for the location you are at ⛅ 📍
