🔎 Youth exclusion isn’t apathy, it’s a global design flaw. The GYPI is the first tool to systematically measure young people’s participation in political, civic, and economic life in 141 countries.

Young people’s political participation is frequently misrepresented by older powerholders. This GYPI shows that youth is often locked-out of democratic engagement but it does not have to be that way. I hope the index will be valuable around the world to young people, researchers and policy makers
