Because they want trans kids dead. Which is why we need to escalate until the NYT is more afraid of the decent people than of their fascist allies.

Since I have my nationality and am about to get my businesses set up, I can look into what it would take to start up a business to do tech conferences.

A US Treasury Threat Intelligence Analysis Designates DOGE Staff as ‘Insider Threat’ An internal email reviewed by WIRED calls DOGE staff's access to federal payments systems “the single biggest insider threat risk the Bureau of the Fiscal Service has ever faced.”

Today, for the first time, @wired.com got my money. The work the Wired journos are doing is incredibly solid and technically adept while being clear. Thank you to @telliotter.bsky.social @lhn.bsky.social @agreenberg.bsky.social & more.

Most USians who voted for T-rump don’t understand how most things work. So yes, they are for real despite how unbelievable their reaction seems to educated folk. I think the right knows how uneducated their constituents are and use that to their advantage.

I’m currently assuming that we will. You know how Twitter(“X”) wants to be WeChat? Well, this is probably step one. The next step is to mandate that all people use it to receive government payments. Then he gets to skim money off every federal payment.

T-rump signed an executive order yesterday about South Africa rescinding a previous apartheid era law. He complains about it being unfair to white South African minorities and that it removes equal opportunity for them, while he’s removing equal opportunity for minorities in USA.

He’s racist AF.

good article, it helps to have it broken down like this so we don't expect a response from certain facets which is outside their realm of responsibility.

Here’s a blog post explaining the development of the following chart of chromosomal factors and genes that can lead to a variety of intersex traits. We still need lots of basic research to be done — that may not happen with T-rump or Vance in office. www.scientificamerican.com/blog/sa-visu...

These executive orders on banning federally funded entities from recognizing trans people or disallowing them from using the bathroom are not self-executing or immediately enforceable. They require formal rule making at a minimum. They are a scare tactic. Ignore and do not comply in advance.

Trump’s anti-trans Executive Order is bad BUT it technically defines everyone as female. It states:

“'Female' means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell."

Since all fetuses "at conception" are female, Trump just defined EVERYONE as female.

Every transphobic argument can basically be boiled down to: "I actually don't know the science at all or have a good argument here, but trans people challenge my long held view of the world and it's very uncomfortable and everyone should be expected to move around my discomfort."
