IMO the only question is if the government is making good faith, Constitutional attempts at preventing future violence by people who share such “views.” Since we seem to be governing by social media hits, I think we know the answer.

A good rule of thumb: if you’re getting catharsis from someone imitating Trump and it’s paired with a flood of bullshit AI memes and nothing gets discussed about how to materially make peoples lives better and instead it’s just parroting of “strategies” that’ll defeat him, it’s a problem.

One of the biggest blunders (when well-intentioned) and betrayals (when not) in Democratic rhetoric over the years is their impenetrable insistence that what voters respond to is somebody who begins by finding common ground with their opponent, no matter who that opponent is or what that ground is.
