There are so many things to love in this world. I’m still adding but some of them are: Andrea, music, guitar, animals, travel, food, the West Coast, outdoors, being alive…
And then you realize that if you stopped time you wouldn’t see this sunset!

One of those moments in life where you want to stop time. I’m lucky, I have those moments a lot.

If social media were cool humans could be their authentic selves and share the experiences of life. Instead people say things they wouldn’t even say to your face. I’m real and promise to be kind.
04.12.2024 14:03 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0This is the kind of news I like to see. Anecdotally, we saw a lot more Orca in Puget Sound this year, especially recently. There seems to be a salmon recovery happening and that just shows we can learn and find balance with nature. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024...

In America today, if you’re not angry with both sides of the current mess, you’re not paying attention.
I’m an anti-partisan.
I found this opinion piece, in Newsweek of all places, by William Cooper. No idea who he is but I agree with this sentiment…
Why do we choose between two sides when there are myriad issues? This false dichotomy creates more division and closed mindedness.
Pick your issues. Fight for them. Don’t choose sides. No side is right or wrong on everything.
I wish there was a blue sky filter that I could use to turn off any partisan noise.
When I was younger and adults would comment or ask me about my politics I realized that our two party system in the US was too limiting. I do not agree with everything that either party supports.
Go Seattle! Looking good.

In a world of such richness, with so much breadth and depth, a good filter is one of the keys to happiness.
21.11.2024 14:22 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0ChatGPT is teaching me about filtering as well. Writing a good prompt is all about filtering. The powerful, all-knowing LLMs know truth and lies, facts and fiction, everything in one, largely unfiltered mess. That’s why you get crazy answers and “hallucinations “ when you don’t filter enough.
21.11.2024 14:22 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0My goal is to filter out hate and ignorance. Blue sky seems to do better at that than any alternative I know. I hope this platform will continue to add innovative ways to filter so we can get right down to what we care about, whatever that may be.
21.11.2024 14:22 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0When we apply filters to social media with tools like @bsky.app they remove what you don’t need. Most other social platforms allow for very little and very ineffective filtering. Social media is chock full of particulates that are harmful so I’m looking for more ways to remove what I don’t need:
21.11.2024 14:22 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The water in Seattle is so pure you don’t really need a filter but I’ve been spending time in Utah where it’s a big deal. The zero filter removed over 200 particulates and it makes Utah water taste just like Seattle water. Filters simply remove what you don’t need.
21.11.2024 14:22 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I keep a list of power words, as in, words that are unusually powerful because of their deep meaning and importance.
For example, a word I am very enamored with right now is…
FILTER
Filters are so under appreciated. We got a zero water filter recently and it’s amazing.
