Tell your members of Congress to pass an Iran War Powers Resolution now to stop this devastating violence from spiraling into a disastrous new endless war!

"Congress must act urgently to restrain the administration before this spirals into another endless war," @bridgetmoixfcnl.bsky.social said.

No War With Iran
We strongly condemn the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran. We mourn the lives already lost as a result of these unlawful and reckless attacks β including at least 40 school children killed in Minab.
We hold in the Light all those who now fear what comes next and call for an immediate end to strikes.
Regardless of what President Trump said last night, our union is in a state of crisis.
In this moment, people of faith and conscience must act with greater courage to defend our rights, our democracy, and our neighbors. β¬οΈ

Last night, President Trump once again lied about election fraud to push for legislation that would block millions of citizens from voting.
Congress must stand firm against Pres. Trump's lies and authoritarianism -- and we must continue the long struggle for a truly just and inclusive democracy.
Iran. Venezuela. Cuba. Greenland...
President Trump's rapidly-changing, whiplash-inducing threats of war are enough to make your head spin.
As @bridgetmoixfcnl.bsky.social writes, Congress can and must take proactive action to reclaim its war powers and rein in Trump's reckless militarism.
A group of U.S. and Iranian religious leaders recently made a joint call to avoid war and instead choose diplomacy, human rights, and peace.
"If action to transform violent conflicts is not taken now, the horrors of war and devastation will spread ... We can not allow that to happen.β
This week, we crossed a dangerous threshold into a world without nuclear arms control.
This moment must be a wake up call that spurs a renewed commitment to cooperation over catastrophe.
There is no time to lose. The stakes are far too high for inaction.
This is not the world Americans want.

π¨ Did you hear the big news about today's Senate war powers vote on Venezuela?
@bridgetmoixfcnl.bsky.social breaks down what to know about this hopeful step forward, and where we go from here. π
War is not the Answer
War is not the answer in Venezuela. In Colombia. In Mexico. In Cuba. In Iran. In Nigeria. In Somalia.
War is not the answer. Period.
The Trump administration must respect the will of the people in Minnesota. They are endangering Americans.

Powerful statement from the Minnesota AFL-CIO β¬οΈ, which represents more than 1,000 unions in the state:
"We stand in solidarity with committed residents who find the courage every day to protect their immigrant neighbors and coworkers from ICE agents violently trampling our constitutional rights."
Grieving this relentless violence. And grateful for the courage of so many standing up for one another and the world we know is still possible. Read this:

π£π"The power to declare war belongs to Congress and the American people," NOT the president.
βTrump has once again taken power thatβs not his. He is attempting to drag the country into war by decree."
Congress must stop him.
We can - and must - build a better and more peaceful world.
"One that meets the needs of the majority of its people, rather than endlessly squandering precious resources on war and preparations for more of it."

πNew: U.N. officials are sounding the alarm over the dangerous precedent set by President Trump's attack on Venezuela and disregard for the U.N. charter.
βA peaceful, safe and just world for everyone is only possible if the rule of law prevails instead of might makes right."
