We’re responsible for conducting our review and contributing to any multi-agency review that parish authorities convene. FDH doesn’t unilaterally control decisions made by city or parish leadership, but we do document what we saw, what was communicated, and how those choices affected operations.

For now though, like I keep repeating, that can not be our focus. We are still in the middle of storm rescue, recovery and relief.

You can’t have it both ways. You say FDH has “nothing to investigate,” yet in the same breath insist questions must be asked of FDH, what checks failed, and why. That’s exactly what our after-action reviews are for. We look at every decision, whether or not it was ours.

This is how you started all of this. FDH implicated in every posting.

Anyway. This was a major incident, so it is procedure to perform our due diligence once we are done with rescue, recovery and relief operations.
