voice failing, looking pleadingly up at the other maids who are making a point of ignoring this one

nobody will help and everything is impossible and... and there's so much fear and... please don't let it break under this disdain

so much more than it's heart can take...

I actually felt like I couldn't move or make a sound at all (irl) for several moments after reading this...

it's such a dangerous combination of unfairness and helplessness mixed with recontextualising familiar everyday tasks...

being given tasks... and punishments better suited to a girl so many times larger than you... by someone who knows fine well that you don't stand the slightest chance of success

i-it's ok for a incredibly, impossibly, very tiny fairy to enjoy seeing other fairies loom higher and higher - it's completely fine

it- it isn't just a way to c-cope with being a fairy that's constantly used as a test-subject for spells intended "to bring humanity down to a more fitting size"

only able to watch helplessly (and more than a little awestruck) as the fairy turns out to be unable to resist the urge to make the poor thing smaller and cuter - to a size that makes it even harder to resist these urges...

eyes both sweet and mischievous that fill more than all of the sky...

teasy flirty fairy.. that shrinks gf... down to almost nothing... leading to cuteness aggression... and probably more shrinking..

the coworker from earlier, standing barely taller than I am

nervous, bewildered, and so scared that I can’t help but give her a hug as soon as she alights from my giant’s palm

she’s warm and shaking and clearly overwhelmed

but she’ll adjust to this soon enough - I shall make sure of it

smiling warmly, mouthing an apology before her titanic hand is brought down next to me

it catches me off-guard - but it’s only when the fingers uncurl, revealing their unexpected passenger, that I gasp

the office is too big to cope with on my own - fear and loneliness too loud without someone to distract me from my thoughts and doubts

too miniscule to properly serve as even a little desk-pet - there is dirt on her screen that is, surely, having more of an impact on her workday than I am

my heartache escapes in the form of the most pathetic squeak, easily drowned out by her keystrokes
