My theory is that Rep. Thomas Massie was the only republican that she truly respected. He is popular with libertarians and his voters, and consistent in his principles which are easily sold as America-first.

I love that MTG is agreeing with me. Massie was a good influence on her. In all of their pictures together he's just allowing her to talk and quietly reinforcing which beliefs align with their values.

I think there's 2 main factors for the shift:

1. She realized being a Trump Loyalist wouldn't change the fact she's a woman and wouldn't be supported.
2. She's a populist and is pretty consistent on holding town halls. She actually cares about what supporters think of her.

Yeah, Aaron Parnas would be a more well-known one. And then there are sources like Jubilee which doesn't talk about the news but provides the audience with political positions and normalizes extreme ones. It has the potential to create a false sense of being informed despite not keeping up.

I'd be curious to see how the trends are for alternative sources. Like the people who get their news from independent sources (often former journalists) with varying levels of credability like Seth Abramson or Tim Pool; not necessarily the news, but an analysis of it.

I have a friend who is a hoarder who adjusted by trading shit instead of letting it collect dust. You don't need a special talent, transportation, excess of goods, etc. to contribute to a barter economy.

Imho, you have to abandon american individualism and accept you don't have to be special.

Establishing a barter economy during a general strike is 100% doable.

-Trade food
-Trade services (i.e. share your hobbies)
-Free boarding
-Host storage space for your unregulated barter economy

The caveat is having the flexibility to wait for your slice of the pie.
