I want your money but not adherence to party principles- the only reason the UCP had for bringing this in - at least that they would state publicly :)

Agreed that is a problem area. I also see a long line of traffic heading west to turn north onto 109 st. I definitely foresee RH turns blocking the WB bike lane.

Yeah, same way I came in, it’s launched but not yet fully operational in access it seems. 106 st comes in narrow due to ongoing work.

Those don't work for cargo bikes, and are dangerous on any larger bike, as my spouse can attest after an incident this summer. Just do this!!!!

Simple asphalt ramp to allow access up a curb. Should be used for temporary curb transitions like yeg summer street on Victoria Park Hill and Saskatchewan Drive.

#yegbike to O'day'min Park today. What a beautiful asset for #yeg and our downtown in particular. The push-button gas fires will be welcome all winter, the playground and seat swings are great. But my picture is of the simple fix I want for summer streets 2026. Screw the dinky double-90 ramps.

In Canada/USA this would be part of teaching people to defer to cars. My experience in Japan is that drivers are very courteous to pedestrians so a much more well-rounded approach!

Felt great to suck it up and ride out in the #yeg snow again. As usual, more overheat than cold issues. Next time a rag for the glasses would be good to remember! #yegbike

Brilliant Norwegian idea, unfortunately no longer available. Base tire for normal roads, zip on skins for other conditions including gravel and ice. The company, Retyre, has moved into low-CO2 bio-based pneumatic tires.

Opinion: Notwithstanding clause never meant to be used to benefit the government Dave King was was there when clause was born in Alberta cabinet. It was never meant to be used for the benefit of the government itself.

Former PC Education Minister Dave King was at the cabinet table when notwithstanding was devised. His devastating view of what the UCP has done. Don't miss this piece.

If you compare how the work is done on the LRT - even though frustrating and seeming to take forever - they pay attention to providing temporary (signalled!) crosswalks, signed detours, etc. NW Paving doesn’t work to these standards on this active transport project!

FAA is reducing flights at 40 U.S. airports. Here's how Canadian travel will be affected | CBC News Some Canadian travellers bound for the United States will see cancelled flights and delayed itineraries as the U.S. government shutdown puts pressure on the country's aviation network.

Here’s a hint. If you don’t travel to an aggressive nation threatening takeover and actively working to damage our economy, no impacts!

Gotta be careful though. The new construction areas (110 st/103 ave, 113 st path, 111 ave path) are greasy as hell with the spilled dirt and rain.

Went to renew my passport in #yeg Canada Place today. Gotta say, the process is much more pleasant than it was a decade ago! Pleasant staff, not pulling a number that is dozens away, etc. But rolling out online further (need to be within 6 months of expiry) would be great!

List of countries with the best reputation, showing change between 2024 and 2025.

List of countries with the best reputation, showing change between 2024 and 2025.

According to this ranking, Canada’s reputation has improved since 2024. We are now the 2nd most reputable country in the world.

The United States has dropped from 30th to 48th in that same year, the biggest drop of any nation BY FAR. Its reputation-peers are now Kuwait, Algeria, Kazakhstan…

I don’t, but growing up with a gravity furnace then having it replaced with forced air illustrates the different approaches to air distribution and management. And if there have been renovations, like my 1950s semi-bungalow with new rooms upstairs but no new ductwork, well…
