Crystal listened carefully and with a nod took a sip of her soda. She kept quiet for a second, then reached to grab his hand.

“Whatever you choose, you know I’ll always support you, and if you decide to join us again our arms will always be open. At least mine”

She trusted Clint, she always would and was glad she had followed his advice.

“you? Avenger? West coast? Solo? Or…anything else?” If someone would never judge Clint for being Ronin was her.

“Just avengers.” She said picking the pepperoni off her slice and eating them on their own.

“I made some research after you told me to not trust shield that easily and well… makes sense why they wanted me with them. Easier to control me. Fuck that” she shrugged and finally bit her slice. +

She nodded. “I’ll go get my bag” she turned around and went into the other room. She leaned against the wall and took a deep breath. She could do this, it was a friend hang and he was a friend. She could be her normal self.

She grabbed her bag and came back with a bright smile.

“Mission didn’t go at all as I wanted” mission wise. Great. She always did great, but the personal matters stayed no matter with how much blood she tried to drown them.

She nodded. That was a classic answer between them. ‘Alive’ meant multiple things from ‘I’m exhausted’ to ‘my heart is beating against my own will’. They both were idiots that felt sorry for themselves quite often. That’s part of why they clicked with each other, that’s also why they were so awful +

*Crystal wanted to say she had missed him too, and she had, but she was sure he didn’t miss her the same way she did. She wanted to jump into his arms and say how much his comfort would’ve been good while she was away, how she kept dreaming about their first dance, but she couldn’t. That train +

Crystal had gotten back from a long solo mission. No one knew where or for how long, she had requested it that way. Now that she was back she had a few injuries but she forgot any pain the moment she saw Clint again.

“Oh.. hi” she smiled sheepishly “Im glad too see you too, yeah it’s been..long”

Crystal couldn’t avoid looking at his body carefully. He wasn’t bulky but was in great shape, she could see a few scars on his skin that only gave him character.

Pulled away from her thoughts vy his voice she looked back up and smiled at him.

“Thay actually sounds wonderful, thank you”

She offered him a soft smile and nodded.

“Uh- yeah yeah, just.. tough session that’s all” she said trying to not worry him.
