And isn't there a difference between:
Short-Term Instant Gratification Businesses (like a create avatar tool) that are more transactional, immediate, low-commitment?

Long-Term Value Businesses (like a project management tool) that are more relational and strategic and require a higher investment?

But what about removing friction to increase the chances of signup and usage by eliminating the need for a credit card?

MailChimp needed it because people did not trust the brand yet in the beginning, and they did not have years to build a reputable brand.

Questions:
Is this freemium strategy outdated? Are we not facing trust issues like we had a decade ago?

Why aren't there tools to generate token names? Or am I missing something?

Tokens can be generated with this formula: Anatomy + Property using a token taxonomy table. For example: button.icon.primary.color | anatomy.anatomy.property.property

I found that LEGO maintains an online platform called "Bricks and Pieces," where everyone can browse and purchase individual bricks.

It could reflect how it is internally.

What's the best design system analogy you've encountered? I love the IKEA analogy: the same parts, different closets, and a manual to guide you.

Examples of code, documentation, and Figma sitting beside each other contain the same information and setup.

At the same time, many others and I have always argued that a design system is not a component library. It includes documentation and a mirrored Figma library. However, of course, you can keep the initial setup more uncomplicated.
