friendly reminder to not fall into the criminal vs non-criminal narrative. this is used to determine whose deserving and whose not. criminal/non-deserving is defined by the state and the definition is quickly expanding. the language we use is directly related to the world we seek to build.

This is an incredible document in which #Trump claims ICE protests “constitute a form of rebellion against the authority of the Government of the United States” and authorizes Pete Hegseth to deploy “regular Armed Forces” against protesters—anywhere in the US. (Notably, CA isn’t mentioned anywhere.)

mutual aid is not just resource distribution. MA can be militant, it can be educational, it can be spiritual. what defines mutual aid is individuals & communities collaborating & cooperating to meet each others needs & wants w/o state institutions or top-down power structures while affirming life

you cannot reform this structure of death thru promises of serving & protecting the community. This is not a few bad apples, this is by design. Stop acting surprised bc their violence now looks different.

Abolish ICE, Abolish the police, Abolish the military. they will never serve the people.

at every level of the state, cops are loyal to the exploitative elite class. cops are the decedents of the overseers of the plantation systems that enslaved and murdered millions of people. we will never truly now the exact number of lives destroyed and taken.

what about the racialized targeting of folks post major crisis like Katrina? The criminalization of folks demanding justice & the state's choice to use cops to protect property over life? Remember how those who refuse to remain silent during a genocide are painted & treated as a danger to society?

Did we forget the Tulsa bombings? State protected Jim Crow South? That the only time this fucking country went to civil war was to protect its white supremacist values? What about the state sanctioned systemic destruction of indigenous way of life?

Did we forget COINTELPRO & their systematic targeting of the Black & Brown community, going so far as drugging & assassinating Black Panther members? And if it wasn't murder, the setups & years of life stolen behind bars? What about the militarization of schools & the school to prison pipelines?

So far in 2025, there has been 512 people killed by police in the US. There has been only 1 day this year when police did not murder someone.
