Since launching in November 2021, iCAST has successfully delivered over 40 Joint Industry Projects (JIPs) with a total investment of £3.8 M, resulting in member companies securing more than £30 M (£6.6 M in grants and £25.3 M in private investment) to develop their sustainable technologies further.

The University of Bath's latest impact report shows how #education, #research and #innovation drive economic growth, and iCAST (Innovation Centre for Applied Sustainable Technologies) is proud to be part of this success.

Dr Rick Lupton presenting " how do supply side and demand side decarbonisation interact.

A year since I presented at #summershowcase2025 for the @bath-iscc.bsky.social when I was still in my role at Swansea. Has been a brilliant, worldwind year moving to @uniofbath.bsky.social in September, setting up a lab, getting involved with lots of new collaborators including Rick Lupton ⬇️

His conclusions? We now have a better understanding of global petrochemical emissions sources and their uncertainty. The limiting factors seem to be info about specific processes at each facility and lack of open data.
