I had such a wonderful time celebrating Sex Worker Pride this weekend with my fellow workers. We marched from Washington Square Park and I tabled with my co-organizers on behalf of @decrimny.bsky.social with harm reduction supplies and zines ❤️

(6/6) Show up for s*x workers with your actions, your votes, and yes - your money. Pretty words without material support is just performance.

(5/6) S*x Worker Pride means refusing to beg for basic human dignity. It means centering the voices that have been shouted down and the expertise that's been ignored.

(4/6) We're criminalized for existing, stigmatized for working, and then expected to be grateful for scraps. No thanks.

(3/6) There's immense pride in refusing to be silent, in demanding decriminalization while dodging cops, and in creating safety for our communities when everyone else has failed us. S*x workers show up for trans people, for migrants, for survivors, for all the people society throws away.

(2/6) While lawmakers clutch their pearls and flip-flop on human rights, s*x workers have been consistently leading fights for justice, labor rights, and bodily autonomy. We've been organizing, mobilizing, and building real solidarity - not just posting about it.

(10/10) En cualquier discusión sobre seguridad, debemos centrar las voces de los más cercanos al tema: trabajadores sexuales. Cuando las trabajadores sexuales nos dicen que el respeto y el empoderamiento mejoran su seguridad, no la policía, debemos escuchar.

(9/10) No se puede confiar en los políticos oportunistas para las preguntas sobre la seguridad pública.

(8/10) Convenientemente, deja fuera que firmó la histórica ley de 2021, que derogó el delito penal de "merodear con el propósito de dedicarse a la prostitución." Esta derogación redujo invariablemente la vigilancia policial de trabajo sexual.
