“Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) suggested Democrats may seek a vote on an amendment to the bill in exchange for their support to advance it later this week.”

Be very cautious and do not be fooled. The Dems are trying to confuse their constituents in a way that allows them to say they didn’t vote for the bill while also voting for it so that they can say that they voted for the government to stay open.

It isn’t true! Schumer is asking Thune for an amendment vote on a 30-day CR in exchange for cloture. It’s political cover for them to vote on cloture, vote on a 30-day CR amendment (which will fail) and then the GOP only needs 51 to pass the bill.

Which made all Republicans (except 3) flip from a no to a yes, so with that in mind, I would’ve preferred Dems to not vote in favor of her since she testified that she would not be aiming to enact the PRO Act as labor sec.

That being said, almost all 52 Republicans were initially against her for this very reason and she testified in her hearing that she would enact what Trump’s agenda for labor is, not her personal wishes since she’s no longer a Congresswoman.
