Keith Lake, TX F2 #Tornado – August 5, 1964! A brief but damaging tornado struck near Keith Lake in Jefferson County, TX. A small car was thrown into a ditch—all five passengers were reportedly injured. A frame house was lifted off its foundation, and several homes had roof damage. buff.ly/9YkO3Bq

Lucan, MN F1 #Tornado – Aug 4, 1958! A brief tornado touched down near Lucan, MN, tracking just 2 miles. Herman Schultz was killed when a small outbuilding overturned on top of him while visiting his daughter’s farm. Two others were injured when a portable grain elevator tipped over. buff.ly/7Wlhm2k

Glassport, PA F3 #Tornado – August 3, 1963: An F3 tornado struck Glassport, PA along a 0.1‑mile path. It destroyed numerous buildings—including a roller rink—and killed 2 people while injuring about 70.

On July 31, 1987—“Black Friday”—a catastrophic F4 tornado struck Edmonton, Alberta. With winds up to 260 mph, it killed 27 people and injured over 300. It remains Alberta’s deadliest tornado and led to the creation of the province’s Emergency Public Warning System. buff.ly/8iBPZTV

July 31, 1966: A deadly tornado swept from near Ashley, ND into Long Lake, SD. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Fischer were killed when their car was thrown by the storm. All three of their children survived. 5 farms were destroyed, and a stretch of Highway 101 was “rolled up like a rug.” buff.ly/FVRc4Rf

Bloomer, WI F4 #Tornado – July 30, 1977! A powerful tornado struck northwest Bloomer, WI, demolishing about 50 homes & damaging over 100 more. Canton, IL F3 #Tornado – July 23, 1975!

St. Augusta–Zimmerman, MN F2 #Tornado – July 22, 1967

Teton Wilderness, WY F4 #Tornado – July 21, 1987! A rare & violent tornado tore through 24 miles of mountainous terrain in northwest Wyoming, crossing the Continental Divide at over 10,000 ft. More than a million trees were destroyed, some stripped of bark and carried long distances. buff.ly/Gaff2LO
