Pleased to meet with constituents earlier today at one of my regular surgeries, this time in #Shaw.
There were some complex issues raised this time concerning HMRC and social security support particularly #PIP. My team and I will do our best to support all who came.

The Education Secretary talked about reducing attainment gaps such as these, but to have the most effective SEND system it needs to be co-produced with young people with SEND and parents as well. People with lived experience must be actively engaged in this.

On the 4th anniversary of the outbreak of war in Ukraine, Parliament is hosting an exhibition of sculptures from the members of the Royal Society of Sculptures and the deputy ambassador for Ukraine to the UK.
I was really moved by the sculptures made to depict how the war is making people feel.

We also heard from Sir Charlie Mayfield - author of the 'Keep Britain Working' report - Tessa Griffiths, CEO of Skills England, and from the German ambassador.
The conversation addressed common challenges for both countries including improving the skill levels across workforces.
Germany currently has the highest levels of employment and growth in the G7, including youth employment.
It was good to hear from large and small businesses, on their innovation in training and retaining their workforce.

At the same time, we are putting more money into funding life-changing home adaptations so older and disabled people can live safely and independently.
These steps are part of our wider plans to build a National Care Service rooted in quality, fairness and dignity for all that use it.
We are determined to support some of the most vulnerable people in society with the daily pressures they face.
From April this year, more than 150,000 disabled adults will keep hundreds of pounds more each year - putting extra money back into their pockets to help with
everyday costs.
