Aww, thank you! It's getting there day by day, both the finger and the quilting. ☺️

I've been slowly getting back to my sewing after my finger was lacerated after a vinegar bottle chose violence ten days ago. I still can't bend it, but my other digits are doing better at the workload. I might just get this Christmas quilt finished on time!

My first sewing machine that was "mine" had bern given to me by my grandmother, a 1956 Riccar. She had been a tailor and had used it prodigiously until 1989; and then I used it until 2008, when I gave it to a collector friend when I couldn't repair it anymore. My Juki TL is now my main rig. 😊

Getting to know the feel on my #Featherweight, as well as working towards a scant 1/4" without guides, is coming along. ☺️ I need to devise a easy-ish (but not boring) project just for her to really dig in and understand her quirks. #goodtimes #quilting #quiltsky #sewingmachine #vintagesinger

10 mi. in the bucket this morning, my first since June, when I developed plantar fasciitis, this after a fatigue bout caused by my tamoxifen. The run was slow but tiring; still, it felt great to get it done--and then have brunch at my fave #vegan cafe!

Finally got to this week's Blockheads...but not the given squares. To be honest, I hated them. I love Betsy Chutchian, but those blocks were not for me. So, I went over to Generations #Quilting and found a 9" square that I really liked, January Thaw. So glad I did!

Yes! It's taking up a lot of brain power, I admit. Weekly blocks are quite the distraction from the big projects that I'm trying to work on, watch the start! But I am having fun with it. I don't get many opportunities to really crush on batiks.

I think it will be awesome, judging by what you posted just there. I love the look of a scrappy quilt, but I can't make myself do one without my eye going nuts over the asymmetry. 🤭

Yes. It's a nice one this year, easy to follow and easy to pair up with other blocks of the month. I already have all of my log cabin strips cut, so all I need to do is so the centers and then pop everything together.

Great colors! They really stand out against the white background. 👍🏻
