I also feel like a underestimated pixel art. I figured it'd be easier than drawing, but that's not necessarily true. It is just different. As someone with a pretty technical background, I feel like I'll probably progress faster with 3D graphics, which I already have experience with.

Hi! Just wanted to share that I am probably not going to continue with the pixel dailies. I started practicing because, as a programmer, I wanted to be able to create art for future games. But for that, I'd have to create assets, and for the dailies, I always end up doing illustrations.

Thanks a lot! I see what you mean. I've seen other people's pixel art and noticed the coloured outlines. I should definitely try that myself! And should also definitely work in my shading. I'll try adding in some highlights next time. Thank you so much for the advice! ✨

Was feeling overwhelmed with 48x48 canvas, so I tried 16x16. But I found myself wondering how to add details to make the image more appealing. Any thoughts on this? As a beginner, should I keep trying to work with 16x16 or something else?

As someone who's only seen snow once, I wasn't too inspired by today's theme, hahaha. Still tried my best, but I struggled.

It started as an Alto's Adventure tribute, but I ended up changing the colors to something I liked a bit more.

Jellyfish! When I read the theme, I immediately thought of animals. So I looked up what different species could be fluorescent and came across these fellas :)

Found it hard to work with vibrant colors, but that's the point!

Tried to draw a tree today. Went too ambitious with the canvas size and couldn't really manage to make it work in the end. So I just went back to 48x48 and relaxed for a while with this little mountain.
