π’ New research from The ORB, led by Dr Louise Smith, shows why co-production matters.
By working with poultry farm workers, the team created practical, translated, visual resources on avian flu, PPE, antivirals, and symptom monitoring, now informing national guidance.

Public health messages should use self-explanatory language. If messages use vague words (like 'vulnerable'), people have to fill in the blanks. My research has impacted the language that @ukhsa.bsky.social uses. Here's an article and video all about it! www.kcl.ac.uk/news/spotlig...

New research finds major gaps in global ADHD data.
Most post-2020 studies on prevalence are low quality, only 4 of 40 reviewed were low risk of bias. No clear rise, just unclear data.
Better evidence is urgently needed to guide healthcare decisions.

π¦ West Nile virus has been detected in the UK for the first time. Risk remains low, but climate change is shifting the map for mosquito-borne diseases. Prof Paul Hunter breaks it down in The Conversation: tinyurl.com/4uzdx68c @metadoc.bsky.social

π New publication from Professor Paul Hunter warns that climate change may lead to more severe infectious disease outbreaks than models predict - especially in populations with no prior exposure. A call for better modelling and behavioural insight.
