I can understand the team - no matter how good the music is, if you launch the game dozens of times a day there is a point where you had enough. Though QA should always have it on, for exactly that reason.

If I had to do it real time I'd probably go for a voxel or dual-voxel representation, as it is used for some terrain engines.

There is a delaunay library (www.cs.cmu.edu/~quake/trian...) that uses exact floating point math (www.cs.cmu.edu/~quake/robus...), I keep wondering if it could be applied to cases like this.

A few years ago I made a Unity wrapper for github.com/stephanfr/Cork , which seemed to work well. Though the use case disappeared in the end, so it was never stress tested and their version is now at least 80 commits ahead from the version I used

Yeah. It does have a demo on Steam if you're wondering. Walking goes surprisingly smooth after a bit, the tricky bits are the climbing and balancing bits.

Am I correct to assume that this is mostly HDL synthesis with some instanced designs for caches?
