Hold the voters accountable? WTF?
10.11.2025 14:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh, buddy....
10.11.2025 13:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0kinko's
10.11.2025 13:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That's slightly less crazy than I thought. it's POSSIBLE to do interpolation/imputation responsibly, but unless it's a vanishing minority of the data, it's not going to teach the bigger model anything,
10.11.2025 13:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wow... just wow.
10.11.2025 04:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0They should take that back, like the Germans did to Jan Hendrik Shoern.
08.11.2025 19:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The president has presumptive immunity for all official acts. Say... in his/her/their role as commander-in-chief of the armed forces enacting violence on America's enemies...
08.11.2025 15:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As I understand slumlordism, the idea is to borrow more than a building is worth then default on the loan. Squeezing the tenants is a bonus along the way and naturally you don't spend anything on repairs.
08.11.2025 15:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think they just think this is cool and good and like it this way.
08.11.2025 15:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Slumlordism at scale.
08.11.2025 14:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I was just reminded that there is appeals court (which I guess is what you were talking about) as well as a lower district court (which is what I was thinking of).
That makes some kind of sense.
I see. Thank you
08.11.2025 03:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Didn't the first court order the payments? Why the rush to make them act?
08.11.2025 03:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Someone explained to me in another thread: administrative stays, which overturn the lower court's order brought up for appeal, are almost always granted. It keeps things unchanged until a hearing can be held in the lower court.
So it's routine and usually fine, just happens to be nuts here.
Status quo "from the suit." Right, and the lower court's order was to send the payments (and I guess that was some temporary thing pending a ruling). Alright, I follow. Thanks.
08.11.2025 03:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Part of my question is "WTF is she thinking?" I am not going to *buy* the legal argument, even when I know what it is.
08.11.2025 03:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I see. And that's the way with administrative stays, I suppose. But wouldn't paying the benefits be less disruptive and more status-quo preserving?
08.11.2025 02:58 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I don't think Justice Jackson is doing that or that Ken would say that that "makes sense." And that's the part I'm confused about.
08.11.2025 02:53 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I don't get, even legally. Is it a "We have to assume the Government is telling the truth and acting in good faith" thing?
08.11.2025 02:48 β π 59 π 1 π¬ 5 π 0GW Bush admin's color-coded terror alert "system."
Nonsense....
08.11.2025 02:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0But, like... y tho? Why tf would she do this?
08.11.2025 02:40 β π 11 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0That's gold except I am sure the editor said "good" instead of "what."
07.11.2025 18:03 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wait really? Do they EVER train on or fit real data or just...?
07.11.2025 18:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0And talk absolute rubbish about them. The dude insisted the ancient Chinese knew that DNA was a double helix because of an old painting of intertwined snakes.

07.11.2025 03:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0RIGHT??? Like, that's what federal judges *DO,* homie!!
07.11.2025 03:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I will cross state line to illegally vote for any and all Democratic candidates for national office who promise that they "will make no apologies for the terror."
