Sitting outside with my dog on this lovely day reading Hannah Ricke’s debut book “The Ground Felt Far Away.” It’s a memoir of sorts and it’s glorious. Only 20 pages in but I’m in love already. Raw, relatable, unrelenting. ❤️

At the same time, there was a $79 trillion transfer of wealth from the bottom 90% to the to the top 1%.

We need an economy that works for all, not just billionaires.

I went to my Congressman's local office today. First off, they were surprised that I was there. They said they had been getting phone calls, but I was the first walk-in. That said, the phones were not ringing off the hook. If the DC phone lines are busy, try calling the local office.

Already up in my office. 😌

The constitution quite clearly gives Congress the power of the purse, a power the Executive branch is pretending it now has.

Or did you not pay attention at all in school?

Fine dude, you won. You got us all scared. We’re all fearing our lives, jobs, and future. Good work. Is that what you want to hear?

In the meantime, where are the presidents of universities, senators and representatives, and other “leaders”?

The Trump Administration’s action to suspend all federal grants & loans will have a devastating impact on the health and well-being of millions of children, seniors on fixed incomes, and the most vulnerable people in our country.

It is a dangerous move towards authoritarianism.

I spoke to a talented junior scientist who just got a good faculty job offer in the US and they told me “well I wouldn’t move to 1930s Germany either” so that’s how that’s going

For this I used an iPhone 15 Pro Max and a Canon EOS Rebel SL3 and then also ended up grabbing a few from my 1970’s Canon AE-1 film camera so we could get just the right photo. I was holding the camera in one hand and lighting in the other to get the right shadows.

I spent the day creating art with my wife. ❤️

I love that I can wake up to her saying, “I have an idea. Can you help me make it happen?” And then an hour later we’re setting up lighting, analyzing makeup and shadows from Barbara Krugers original 1980’s Battleground piece and off we go.
