The cape-looking thing is inspired by Zozozrob's cape (which can be found here: x.com/zozozrob1/st...).
I've been watching a lot of One Piece lately, and I really like the way high-ranking marines have huge overcoats hanging over their shoulders, which is what I was trying to recreate

Those things to the side of Gleam's head are meant to look like ears, I was sort of envisioning the antennae of sea bunnies and the long ears which some species of bats have.

I've been trying to work out some character design related things for gleam recently, here's something I made!
