Latest news: Trump to propose changing the motto on the Great Seal of the United States from "E pluribus unum" to "Reduce the surplus population".

I think that's not as likely as it seems if the idea is for Gaetz to be re-seated in January. The Ethics Committee is already controlled by GOP and members won't change in the next session. If he's re-seated after being rejected they can just continue the investigation.

The point, in human history, seems to be that government of the elite advised by the populace is great when your ideas are supported by the elite and not so great when they are not.
